TheLight Care Cameroon is a Cameroonian network of associations of non-profit and non-governmental organization. It was founded by a group of vibrant, young, and dedicated individuals in 2016 and was registered in 2022. TheLight Care Cameroon works in the area of food and agriculture, aged and elderly, animal welfare, art & culture, children, disability, education & literacy, environment and natural resource management, disaster management, eco-tourism, health & nutrition, HIV/AIDS, pandemics, housing and shelter, labour & employment, legal awareness & aid, micro finance, micro, small & medium enterprises, rural development & poverty alleviation, information & communication technology (ICT) and tribal welfare.

Impact Stories
HealthCare
Amid ongoing conflict in North West and South West Region of Cameroon, our health team set up two mobile health clinics in remote internally displace areas, offering critical medical services. In 2024, we provided over 12,000 medical consultations, vaccinations, and maternal healthcare services. These clinics have reduced the spread of infectious diseases and supported thousands of families, ensuring healthier lives for vulnerable populations.
Shelter
Following a series of natural disasters, the NGO rebuilt 250 climate-resilient homes in flood-prone areas. These homes are designed to withstand heavy rains and floods, providing long-term shelter for displaced families. The initiative has helped stabilize the community and restore hope for families who lost everything.
Livelihood
The health care for all initiative is one of TLCC’s five core sectors of intervention. Its overall objective includes improvement of maternal and reproductive health, elderly health care, child health and nutrition, and early identification and treatment of communicable diseases. By identifying the root causes of healthcare challenges, TheLight Care Cameroon’s Health care for all initiative work to enhance the access to quality healthcare services for the poor and marginalized individuals and communities.
EnvironmentalPreservation
In collaboration with indigenous communities, we launched a large-scale reforestation project in 2024. We planted 100,000 trees, contributing to habitat restoration and climate change mitigation. Simultaneously, we provided sustainable livelihood training for 200 local families, empowering them to grow and sell eco-friendly products like medicinal herbs and organic coffee. This initiative has enhanced both environmental protection and economic self-reliance.
